Answers owners want before a pitch

Can the month still be open?

Yes. Then the close comes first. Answering next year's question while this month is still open would be a guess, and you will hear that. Catch-up is ordinary work. It is not a character flaw, and waiting until the return is already late only makes the same months harder.

Who runs payday?

You do, on a provider. We set the file up, map the accounts, and talk through deposits and wage reports. The deposits and the wage reports stay on that provider. If the provider is wrong for the way the packing weeks spike, we help you see that before peak season, not during it.

Who writes the return?

Once those months are closed, the return is written here too, so you are not retelling the year to a second office. You do not have to hire a second conversation to retell the year. The return is better when it is not a translation of someone else's books.

A lender asked for a signature on the statements

If the cover must say audit, review, or compilation, we name that on the first call and point the signature outward. We can still close the months the report will sit on. We do not sign the opinion.

Is there a storefront in McAllen?

No. The work is by video, on books we both can see, with a calendar link when you want a time. Miller International makes that hop ordinary for Valley families. A call that starts in the Valley still lands on the close day already written down.

What does it cost?

It depends on whether the months are open, how many entities there are, and whether payroll setup is part of the first job. We quote the scope in writing. Nothing on this site is a teaser price, because a teaser would be a number we invented for a file we have not seen.

What we will ask you back

When was the last month closed. Who pays the people, if anyone is paid. Whether a notice is already on the table. Whether the year has one quarter that makes the other three look shy. A fifth answer, if you have it, is whether a cooler week or a truck week made that quarter heavy. Those answers tell us if a short talk is worth your morning. They are not a test you can fail.

Two more that arrive after the first call

What do you need from me before the month can close?

Access to the bank, the sales channel, and the payroll provider if there is one. A name for anything that is not a sale and not a vendor bill. Ten quiet minutes when a number does not tie, so the month is not closed on a guess. We do not need a perfect chart of accounts on day one. We need the transactions, and a person who can say what a strange one was.

Can you fix a year that was averaged on purpose?

Often, yes, if the bank and the invoices still exist. Putting the fat quarter back where it happened is a reconstruction, and it takes longer than a month that was closed while the memory was fresh. We will say how far back the records actually support. We will not invent a story for a month the bank cannot explain. If a return was already filed on the smoothed year, the conversation includes whether an amendment is worth it, and you decide.

A good month, once the reconstruction is done, feels uneventful. The statement matches the cooler. The sales tax payment matches the deposits. The estimate for the next quarter uses this year's shape. That uneventful feeling is the product. It is also why we would rather close the current month than write a long explanation of an old one.
